Yoga Retreats
I’ve acted as a curator and host of yogic retreats numerous times over the past three years, and what I’ve discovered and enjoyed the most about going on retreat is the journey we all take together. The experience becomes a synergistic collaboration, and a time and a place where magic seeps in. Between the cracks where everyday routines once settled, connection to self and other is re-established, and from this fertile ground, profound insight and transformation can and does happen.
Consider joining me sometime on one of my retreats, which will take you on not only on an outward journey but also an inner one.

I’ve always suffered with really bad self-esteem and confidence, and as a result have always dreaded giving presentations and workshops. As I have become more senior in my position at work, I have had to do this sort of thing more and more, up to the point where now there really is no escape!
When I attended the retreat the other weekend, the seed/intention I set was “to be confident and comfortable in my own skin.” This is something that I’ve always longed for, having never felt as if I was ‘enough’ – clever/slim/pretty/interesting, etc etc. Anyway to cut a long story short, before (and during) my workshop, I really focused my mind on that seed that you asked us to nurture in Portugal. Just before picking up the microphone to start the session I imagined myself back in Camilla’s lovely shala, feeling warm and protected and calm, at peace with myself. And guess what? I nailed the workshop – all three hours of it! Ok it might not have been 100% flawless but who cares? I felt comfortable and as if I was totally ‘enough’: I engaged with all of the participants, I shared my experiences with an open heart, I laughed with them, and I actually enjoyed it!
I can only put that down to something that really clicked into place during that special weekend. I really meant it when I said to you that I felt that it had been transformative. I still have a fair way to go in terms of loving and accepting myself, but there has been a definite shift.
So thank you again lovely Ashley for your wonderful heart-opening retreat. It really has made a difference to me.
